The series follows the life of Melinda Gordon, a young woman from Grandview, New York, who has the ability to see and communicate with the dead. Melinda lives with her husband Jim, and is the owner of an antique shop. Ghosts seek Melinda’s help in relaying a message or completing a task that will put the spirit to rest, and allow them to “cross over” into The Light, a metaphor presented by the show as its conception of Heaven.

The series received generally negative reviews from most mainstream critics when it began broadcasting, but was extremely well received among viewers. Ghost Whisperer currently airs Friday nights at 8/7central on CBS. The show is produced by Sander/Moses Productions, in association with ABC Studios and CBS Paramount Network Television

Ghost Whisperer is based on the work of “Spirit Communicator” James Van Praagh,who is co-executive producerand constantly updates a blog about the show through CBS.The stories are also said to be based in part on the work of “Spirit Communicator” Mary Ann Winkowski.Development of the show dates back to at least two years before its premiere.

The show is currently produced by Sander/Moses Productions in association with CBS Paramount Network Television (originally CBS Productions in season one) and ABC Studios (originally Touchstone Television in the first two seasons).

The show is filmed on the Universal Studios back lot in Hollywood.One area on the lot is Courthouse Square from the Back to the Future trilogy, though it has been drastically modified to portray Grandview. For example, the clock tower present in Back to the Future has been completely covered up. Cast and crew members also believe that the set gets visits from real spirits.

Sound effects are completed at Smart Post Sound. Visual effects for the pilot and some season 1 episodes were completed at Flash Film Works. Visual effects for nearly the entire series have been created at Eden FX.

The 1983 series finale of MASH made history as the program with the single largest audience in television history, beating out several SuperBowls and the fabled “Who Shot J.R.” episode of Dallas. With the proliferation of new television mediums, it’s a record likely to never be broken…

The sitcom is set in South Korea during American involvement in the Korea War (with MAS*H standing for “Mobile Army Surgical Hospital”). Buffered from the front lines by a mountain range and a minefield, the men and women of MASH were tasked with patching up wounded American soldiers. Unique to its genre, the cast of MASH was unusually large. Surgeons Dr. Benjamin Pierce (Alan Alda) and Dr. “Trapper” John McIntyre (Wayne Rogers) play the roles of excellent doctors who enjoy women and booze, while Dr. Frank Burns (Larry Linville) and Nurse Practitioner Margaret “Hot Lips” Houlihan (Loretta Swit) play foil to the two men’s shenanigans (due to a contract dispute, Rogers’ character was later replaced by Dr. B.J. Hunnicutt – played by Mike Farrell). The character of Frank Burns was also later replaced by Dr. Charles Emerson Winchester (David Ogden Stiers)…

Corporal Max Klinger (Jamie Farr) provides comic relief with his early attempts to procure a discharge by dressing in women’s clothing, and Father Francis Mulcahy (William Christopher) adds flavor to a diverse cast of characters. Also rounding out the cast are Lt. Col. Henry Blake (McLean Stevenson), Corporal Walter “Radar” O’Reilly (Gary Burghoff), and Col. Sherman Potter (Harry Morgan)…

The MASH DVD offers a number of hilarious episodes including the series premiere in which Hawkeye Pierce and Trapper John McIntyre learn that their houseboy, Ho-John, got accepted to Hawkeye’s alma mater. The West Wing is an American television serial drama created by Aaron Sorkin that was originally broadcast from 1999 to 2006. The series was inspired by a 1999 one-hour mockumentary titled Larry David: Curb Your Enthusiasm, which David and HBO originally envisioned as a one-time project. Six seasons of the series have been produced and aired on HBO between 2000 and 2007. A seventh season began production in December 2008.As of late 2008, along with several other shows, HBO has been promoting the upcoming season for Fall 2009.

The show stars Larry David as a fictional version of himself, accompanied by fictional re-creations of his real friends, usually played by themselves. Ted Danson, Mary Steenburgen, Wanda Sykes, and Richard Lewis have all had recurring roles as characters based on themselves.

The show is set in Santa Monica, David’s real place of residence. As his character, David is notoriously unliked by the residents of Santa Monica for his outlandish behavior, inappropriate remarks, and self-centered attitude. David often expresses sentiments of being misunderstood rather than rude. A frequently recurring line of his, usually spoken after such a misunderstanding, is “You can’t even leave your house anymore,” in reference to his frequent altercations with friends and acquaintances.

Most episodes of Curb Your Enthusiasm follow an unusual plot structure. Each episode typically involves David becoming involved in a situation beyond his control, which he then perpetuates with his intellectually narcissistic and inept behavior. His actions, intentional or not, tend to be put back on him in related situations later in the episode. An example of this type of story can be found in episode nine of season one, in which David accidentally tries to bribe a maitre d’ with a prescription that he mistook for a twenty-dollar-bill. This later leads to David being forced to root through the restaurant’s dumpster in search of the prescription, which his wife needs in order to obtain medication for a rash.
